Chevrolet Spark Review

A buyer's review:-

Why to buy Chevrolet spark:

I have purchased a new Chevrolet Spark LS two months back (July 2009). It’s a car looks very small from outside and surprisingly big in interior space. Seat are very comfortable for the averaged sized adult and the quality of the fabric is very good. The boot space is good enough when compared to any small segment cars.
The 1L engine is quite powerful yet very silent. The A/C is very good and very fast cooling and I get a mileage of 14kmpl with AC on.

Why not to buy a Chevrolet spark:

Even though my car has got grey interiors the beige interior's cut the visibility substantially. If you one of those big people then the centrally mounted instrument panel is going to give you some trouble as it is a bit lower than what you might have wished. Though the AC is quite powerful and fast cooling the AC really eats into the power of the car and it is sometimes quite to difficult to climb up on the 2nd gear with the AC on. Apart from these few drawbacks the Chevy spark is value for money.

the estilo drive - A review of new Estilo

The first impression of any car is made by most of us on its looks and I have good reasons to believe that one of the reasons the old Zen Estilo flopped is because of its very boxy and ordinary looks. And the new Estilo is great improvement on this front. The sculpted fog lamps goes very easy on the eye and the dynamic head lamps is real improvement on the old one. The front grill is a bit similar to the ones we have seen on the Ritz. It comes in 8 vibrant shades and I should say the 'Dusky Brown' and the 'Superior white' are the real head turners.
Coming to the drive comfort, the new Estilo has made a few further improvements. The new gear shift technology, Detent Pin Technology(DPT) makes the gear shifting very smooth. The new K-series engines gives it much improved pick-up and fuel economy. The 68Ps@6200 rpm for 993 cc vehicle is quite decent. The ARAI certified 18.2 kmpl will become a huge factor in pulling the masses towards this car.

The few things which does not go for the car are the very ordinary interiors. The chocolate and beige dashboard for the LXi and Vxi version is horrible to say the least. The spacious boot has eaten into leg room for the rear passengers. Also, it might be quite difficult to distinguish between the new Estilo from a Wagon R from the inside.

The car comes in 3 variants the LX which costs 3.8L on road in Bangalore, the LXi which will cost you another 30K more and the Vxi version costs 4.36L for the one without the ABS and 4.7L for the version with ABS. Also please note that all prices are inclusive of extended warranty.

Did Microsoft purposefully leak tablet photo?

I am a frequenter of Gizmodo.com, a website dedicated to provide the latest in the world of electronic gadgets. But I am not sure how popular this website is with the common man, certainly not as popular as msnbc.com (which is a partnership of MSN and the NBC Universal). And the chances of seeing a photo of Microsoft latest tablet is much higher from msnbc.com than Gizmodo.com. If an article in the msnbc.com says that Gizmodo.com has published the Microsoft's latest offering in the gadget world and then publish the same photo in their website, it can very well be concluded as a 'curious case'. And to notice that the photo published in Gizmodo.com and then in msnbc.com is more professional than most of the ad campaigns that we see around the curiousness of the case just notches up a couple of levels. The control Microsoft can have over the contents on msnbc.com is not something I have really researched on, but for eyes such as mine, tired of seeing corporate games, I am quite convinced where the leak has really happened from. And as they say 'no publicity is bad publicity'
